The DC mayor has ordered a 6 p.m. curfew for the city after Pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol building during a protest on Wednesday.
Mayor Muriel Bowser tweeted the order around 2 p.m.

Notice of the 12-hour curfew, which will not apply to essential workers — including press — was also blasted out to cellphones in the city.
A wave of Trump supporters flooded DC today as the Senate formerly confirmed the presidential election results.
The scene turned to chaos as rioters breached he Capitol building.
