For those looking across the aisle at The Ascent’s release earlier this summer, a PS5 version could potentially be in the offing in the future.
Coming via a response to a question regarding a PS5 version on Twitter, the game’s official Twitter thanked the user for their enthusiasm and commented that while they don’t have anything to share at the moment, they are aware of the demand, and to keep an eye on Twitter for future updates.
While it’s not confirmation by any means it appears as if whenever the exclusivity deal between publisher Curve Digital and Microsoft ends that a PS5 may be forthcoming.
Currently an Xbox and PC exclusive, The Ascent released back at the tail end of July to relatively good reviews, with particular praise leveled at the oppressive cyberpunk world-building and environmental destruction. Not that for a maiden game by the Swedish-based developer.
