It all went downhill on the show when Dan and Shay started to sing their latest single “Glad You Exist.” The duo was present at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville during the ACM Awards. However, only a few seconds into the song, it became evident that something was off with the audio and visuals.
To be specific it appeared as though, the sound was lagging 3 seconds behind the visuals. Fans who had been yearning to watch their favourite duo sing live after a long time were reasonably ticked off with Dan and Shay’s ACM 2021 performance getting ruined.
But some fans went into a frenzy and began accusing Dan and Shay of Lip syncing.
The singers finally took to their Twitter to clear the air around what had happened during their performance at ACM Awards 2021. They revealed that apparently there was an audio/video sync issue on the television broadcast. They wrote in the tweet, “we’re bummed about it, but it happens, especially when performances are happening in multiple locations.”
