A doctor has told her TikTok fans how beneficial sex can be for your health.
Dr Faith Coats, who boasts 618,000 followers on the platform, claimed that “more doctors should recommend it”.
She posed the question about the role that orgasms and feeling aroused can play a huge part in your general health.
The TikTok user said: “True or false: arousal and orgasm help you not get sick?”
In another shot, she responded: “True! ‘Getting down’ 1-2 times a week improves your immune system by 30%.
“Tell them it’s doctor’s orders.”
Since it was posted two days ago on the video-sharing platform, the post racked up 111,700 likes and thousands of comments.
It’s worth noting that Dr Faith isn’t the only one to make these claims about how beneficial sex is for the health.
Previously, an expert urged people to continue having sex during the pandemic as it’s “good and healthy”.
Director General of the Danish Health Authority, Søren Brostrøm, said on Danish Radio: “Sex is good. Sex is healthy.
“We are sexual beings, and of course you can have sex in this situation.”
