Does Mary Katharine Ham have a husband?
Yes, Mary is a married woman. The conservative journalist, who has written for The Federalist, Townhall Magazine and currently serves as a contributor for CNN, remarried in 2020 – five years after the death of her former husband.
Mary, 41, remarried right before COVID-19 shut down the world. The journalist revealed in an interview that she met her new husband after a neighbour set the couple up on a date in 2018.
Mary laughingly said: “I’d been raising kids with blinders on when my neighbour said, ‘You should meet this guy I work with, he can handle you.’”
Although the journalist has shared many pictures with her husband on Instagram, she hasn’t tagged him in any of them. Hence, Mary’s spouse’s name and identity are under wraps for now.
However, you can take a look at their adorable wedding picture.

What happened to the journalist’s former spouse?
Mary was previously married to Jake Brewer, a White House advisor.
The pair married in 2011 and were together until Jake’s death in 2015. They shared a toddler and had a baby on the way when Jake passed away.
Jake died after suffering a fatal accident when he was cycling in a charity event.
Mary has detailed the ordeal she underwent in wake of Jake’s passing. The mother of two revealed that she faced many financial difficulties and the lack of life insurance made things even more tricky for the newly single mother.
The journalist also revealed that when Jake died, she was seven months pregnant with at least half her income lost and no maternity leave available to her.
‘The View’ appearance explored
The discussion on the recent episode of The View saw the panel discussing various subjects like racial inequality, Capitol Riots, and George W. Bush’s shade on Donald Trump.
While all the permanent co-hosts agreed that President Bush was in the right, Mary had a different opinion. The journalist did not agree with the fact that the former President compared the January 6 insurrection to 9/11.
“I also emphatically don’t think it’s equivalent to 9/11, and here’s the issue with comparing the two too much — just on the loss of life alone,” Mary said.
The panel also had a serious discussion on Bill Maher’s recent comments about the Black national anthem at NFL games.
