In a year marked by the presence of the coronavirus pandemic, Thiem played a total of eight tournaments. Although he could not perform well at the Masters 1000 and ATP 250 and 500 tournaments, his record at the Slams stole the show.
Thiem was the runner-up of the Australian Open 2020 and emerged as the winner of the US Open 2020. He will certainly be more ambitious in 2021 and will look forward to add more titles to his name.

Going by this, Thiem has quite a busy schedule in 2021. It will be tough to adapt especially after a year where he hardly played 8-10 tournaments. However, Thiem will be hungry to acquire more titles and convert 2021 into a fantastic year for himself.
The Austrian will begin his new season’s campaign at the ATP Cup 2021. He has a lot to prove there especially after Austria’s quick exit last year from the tournament. Moreover, this time, he will be having his dad as the side’s captain.
Thiem’s real challenge will begin at the Australian Open 2021. He will surely hope to win another slam and going by his form, it looks fairly possible. Later in the year, he will also like to defend his US Open title too. Will Thiem be able to minimize the dominance of the Big Three in 2021?
