He then proceeded to ask the actor what made him feel that way about the President and De Niro’s critics.
The actor replied: “We are at a moment in our lives in this county where this guy is like a gangster.
“He’s come along and he’s said things, done things, we say over and over again this is terrible. We’re in a terrible situation.
“We’re in a terrible situation and this guy keeps going on and on and on without being stopped.”

Another Twitter user commented on the video saying: “I didn’t know Robert De Niro was a nerd.”
The actors interview started to trend on Twitter where it was also met with waves of support.
