As per CNN, Dr. Oz is going to join the Republican primary field which includes Jeff Bartos and Carla Sands.
Back in 2007, Dr. Oz had hinted he would be running for the position. At the same time, in 2018, the reality star had helped former President Donald Trump. He was appointed to Presidential Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. He was later reappointed in 2019.

After announcing his Senate run, Dr. Oz released a video on his Twitter. He wrote: “I’m running for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania because America needs a Conservative Republican to cure what’s wrong with Washington. I’m a world-class surgeon, fighter, and health care advocate stepping forward to cure our country’s ills.”
In his video, he said: “Covid has shown us that our system is broken. We lost too many lives, too many jobs, and too many opportunities because Washington got it wrong. They took away our freedom without making us safer and tried to kill our spirits and our dignity and as a heart surgeon, I know how precious life is.”
He ended the video by adding: “Pennsylvania needs a conservative who will put America first. One who can ignite that divine spark, one who can fight bravely, and tell it like it is and that’s why I am running for Senate.
