DUSTIN POIRIER reassured fans that he will be ready for war with Conor McGregor after appearing drained at the weigh-in.
The 32-year-old appeared more dried out than usual as he needed the 1lb allowance – coming in at 156lbs.
However, he took to Twitter to ease concern among fans over whether or not he’ll be able to perform at his best.
He said: “Haha I’m good! Walked out the sauna straight to the scale. Was still a little overheated.”
The ceremonial weigh-in took place this afternoon with both fighters looking ready to bring it in the early hours of Sunday morning.
They had an intense yet respectful face-off with Poirier even gifting the Dubliner with his own brand of Hot Sauce, which went down a treat with McGregor.
A grateful McGregor said: “It’s great to be back here, I’m delighted I got the Louisiana hot sauce.
“I look forward to bring the hot sauce and the fire tomorrow. Let’s go. Thank you so much for the support, I’m so excited to be back.
“You’re in for a treat tomorrow night. Let’s go.”
While Poirier himself added: “My whole career has aligned me for tomorrow night and I’m here to be victorious and get my hand raised by any means necessary.
“I’m leaving it all out there. Let’s go.”
