Elon Musk’s son X AE A-Xii makes rare appearance on dad’s Zoom call

Elon Musk made headlines last year when he welcomed his son, X AE A-Xii, with Canadian singer Grimes.

On Wednesday the proud father couldn’t stop himself from beaming as he showed off the adorable tot, now one, off on a work Zoom call.

Shunning a casual approach to working from home attire, multibillionaire Elon donned a white button up shirt and dark grey blazer as he made a virtual business presentation from his office.

The 50-year-old looked professional with his dark hair brushed back, as he shared an update on Starship, his reusable spacecraft, in a conference call to the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.

Little X AE A-Xii couldn’t resist getting on in the action as he sat on his dad’s lap.

The toddler began saying ‘hi’ while waving his arms, making his dad laugh during the beginning of the presentation.

The adorable blond toddler babbled on as his dad seemed to type off screen, shortly before someone entered the room and took the sweet little boy out.

The one-year-old was teary as his Tesla CEO father returned to work.

In 2020, when X was a newborn, Elon praised Grimes who he said ‘had a much bigger role’ in X’s life at the time.

Speaking to the New York Times, he said: “Babies are just eating and pooping machines, you know? Right now there’s not much I can do.

“Grimes has a much bigger role than me right now. When the kid gets older, there will be more of a role for me.”

Elon first became a father many years before he welcomed X, having six children from previous relationships.

Despite sharing a son, Grimes, 33, and Elon brought their three-year romantic relationship to an end in September.

The couple remain amicably co-parenting their son, with Elon citing physical distance as the reason behind their ‘semi-separation’.

In a statement he said: “We are semi-separated but still love each other, see each other frequently and are on great term.

“It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.”
