UCLA’s Jay Toia was filmed in an elevator over the weekend, seemingly threatening a group of people.
The explicit video has since made the rounds on social media, with UCLA coach Chip Kelly confirming that he was aware of the clip.

UCLA football player Jay Toia has gone viral after being filmed in an elevator.
Seemingly, Toia threatens a group of people inside of the elevator and prevents them from exiting. The athlete can even be heard saying he will “slap a b***h.”

UCLA aware of viral video
According to reports, a spokesperson for the UCLA athletic department confirmed that they were aware of the viral Jay Toia video.
However, the football player still practiced with the team on Wednesday despite the viral video from over the weekend, Yahoo! Sports reports.
UCLA coach Chip Kelly issued a statement reading: “We’re aware of a recent video in which a student-athlete made disparaging remarks. This was inappropriate and not in line with our values and expectations.
“As such, we are taking disciplinary action and working with campus partners to assist with educations for the student.”
Toia is reportedly a backup on the UCLA team and has three tackles this season.
Twitter reacts to elevator video
Over on Twitter, users were not too happy to see the athlete seemingly threaten a group of people.
One person wrote: “the friends of his outside the elevator that did nothing are also out of line.”
Somebody else tweeted: “Not cool.”
Another took to Twitter: “Disparaging remarks? If you watch the video, I believe he did a little more than make disparaging remarks…”
