A fire broke out on the roof of South Africa’s National Assembly, the lower house of parliament, in Cape Town on January 3, a day after a fire damaged the building and a man was arrested on suspicion of arson. Footage posted to Twitter on Monday shows smoke and flames pouring from the building. According to News24, citing a fire department spokesman, the “void beneath the roof sheeting” was on fire on Monday evening. Six fire engines and 34 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.
