THE Queen is today celebrating her 96th birthday at Sandringham – with senior Royals rallying around her after Harry’s latest interview.
Her grandson the Duke of Sussex released another tell-all interview with US media yesterday – making thinly veiled warnings about “the right people” surrounding Her Majesty.
But the Queen looked happy and relaxed – dressed in a headscarf and sunglasses – as she drove through the Norfolk estate today.
And despite the fall-out from Harry’s latest media appearance, other senior royals are paying tribute to the ‘inspirational’ monarch.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a picture of them with the Queen, and one with the monarch’s great-grandchildren.
The Instagram post read: “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 96th birthday today!
“An inspiration to so many across the UK, the Commonwealth and the world, it’s particularly special to be celebrating in this Platinum Jubilee year.”
Meanwhile, Prince Charles shared a series of images of his mother’s extraordinary reign, writing: “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a particularly special 96th birthday today, as we celebrate her Platinum Jubilee year.”

Crisis as Caribbean country reject Royal tour
A Caribbean country has pulled out of welcoming royals for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee tours to celebrate her 70-year reign.
As the monarch celebrated her 96th yesterday, Buckingham Palace was forced to announce the Prince Edward and his wife, Sophie have pulled out of visiting Grenada, after dispute over the planned programme.
Sources said Grenada’s Government had asked for the Wessexes’ visit to be called off after officials complained that Earl and Countess of Wessex were only going to spend a few hours there.
One said: “There were concerns it was going to be very expensive for taxpayers in Grenada and they were only coming for eight hours.” Others said it was felt the couple’s tour would fail to achieve its twin objectives – to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and to showcase the islands visited.
Buckingham Palace said: “In consultation with the government of Grenada and on the advice of the Governor General, The Earl and Countess of Wessex’s visit to Grenada has been postponed. The Earl and Countess hope to visit at a later date.”

Charles ‘didn’t want to meet’ with Harry in Windsor
PRINCE Charles “did not want to meet” with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during their secret visit to Windsor Castle, claims a royal expert.
Royal expert Robert Jobson slammed the Duke and Duchess on GB News, and told presenter Dan Wootton: “I think the meeting with the Prince of Wales was a three line whip.
“Charles was not particularly happy about doing it and he only agreed to do the meeting if nothing was said about him whatsoever on American TV.”
Mr Jobson continued: “Prince Charles has reached the end of his tether, they haven’t been in contact and had they have started blurting about that meeting, that would have been the end of it.
“He [Harry] turned up late for that meeting.
“All families have problems, but you don’t go blurting off to your next door neighbour as soon as you’ve had a meeting.
“Prince Charles thought if these conversations are out in public then I’m not putting up with it and he’s drinking at the last chance saloon.”

‘Resolution in offering’ for Harry & Meg
In a major U-turn, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are looking into returning to the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.
According to sources close to the Sussexes, it is believed that Prince Harry will want to fulfil his grandmother’s wish and join his family this summer.
A source told the Mirror: “Harry is certainly in favour of going, so naturally plans are being put in place for him to make the trip should he want to confirm.
“There is the issue of security and the ongoing court case which needs to be sorted out.
“Previously it was a red line for Harry but there might be a resolution in the offering.
“Everything will hinge on that, but Harry loves seeing his grandmother and wants to spend time with her and his family.”

Harry refuses to say if he wished Queen happy birthday
THE Queen put on a brave face for her 96th birthday yesterday — as Prince Harry faced a backlash over his comments about her made on American TV.
After telling a US network about his private conversation with his grandmother, the Duke of Sussex suddenly clammed up yesterday and refused to even say if he had wished her a happy birthday.
The stern-faced Prince turned his nose up at journalists as he was driven around the Invictus Games in a golf buggy in the Netherlands, as he looked sulky in dark sunglasses, whispering to aides.
He turned down the chance to speak about the terrible reaction his NBC interview had received in Britain — or explain what he meant about wanting to “protect” the Queen.

Harry & Charles haven’t spoken since ‘awkward’ secret meeting
PRINCE Harry and Charles haven’t spoken since their “awkward” meeting at Windsor Castle last week, an insider has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex and his father allegedly spoke for just 15 minutes after he and Meghan Markle flew to the UK before going to the Invictus Games.
The encounter between Harry and Charles was allegedly “cordial but slightly awkward,” according to insiders.
And the pair have not spoken to one another since the secret meeting on Thursday.
A source told the Mirror: “Harry loved seeing his grandmother again and he is acutely aware of her advancing years.
“He is desperate for Lili to meet her great-grandmother and for Archie to see her again now he is likely to enjoy and remember the event.”

Royal visit by Prince Edward to Grenada axed
A ROYAL visit by Prince Edward to Grenada has been cancelled over fears of anti-slavery protests.
He and wife Sophie yesterday axed that leg of their Caribbean tour amid concern about possible anti-royal sentiment.
Buckingham Palace has said only that the last-minute cancellation was on the advice of the Governor General.
The Sun understands organisers feared political protests and local anger.
Royal sources said the decision was made amid fears the Queen’s Jubilee would be “overshadowed”.
It comes after Prince William and Kate’s tour of the Caribbean was disrupted by anti-slavery protests and rocked by comments made by the Jamaican PM about the country “moving on”.

Charles ‘was not happy’ about Harry meeting with Queen
According to a royal expert, Prince Charles has “reached the end of his tether” with son Prince Harry.
Speaking about Prince Charles’ meeting with Harry and Meghan at Windsor Castle, royal expert Robert Jobson has claimed: “Charles was not particularly happy about doing it and he only agreed to do the meeting if nothing was said about him whatsoever on American TV.”
He added: “Prince Charles has reached the end of his tether, they haven’t been in contact and had they have started blurting about that meeting, that would have been the end of it.”

William and Kate questioned if the Queen ‘needs protecting’
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were questioned about the Duke of Sussex’s controversial comment about ensuring the Queen was “protected”, as the fallout from his incendiary interview continued.
A broadcaster called out to William and Kate when they left the London headquarters of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) as the organisation announced its fund total for its Ukraine appeal had passed £300 million.
Harry appeared to issue a veiled warning to those closest to the Queen when interviewed by a US network, saying he wanted to make sure his grandmother was “protected” and had “the right people around her”.
The duke did not elaborate on whether he was referring to royal aides or members of his own family, but his comments are likely to have deepened his rift with his father the Prince of Wales and his brother William and perplexed palace officials.
As the couple stepped into their chauffeur-driven car a female broadcaster shouted: “Sir, does the Queen need protecting?”
The duke and duchess did not respond and continued into the vehicle before being driven away.

Harry’s ‘arrogance knows no bounds’
Royal expert Angela Levin said Prince Harry may keep on attacking the Royal Family to “feel more superior to them”, adding she is concerned about him attending the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Angela Levin said: “Everything’s changed. It’s a nonsense. He’s cut off his family.
“He’s not a member of the royal family now be he’s hanging onto his royal title in a way that makes a nonsense of him saying nothing’s changed.”
Earlier today she said Harry’s claim he is protecting the Queen is “a gross insult”.
She added: “His arrogance knows no bounds.”
