FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) — FWPD are investigating a situation that created a lot of concern for shoppers at Glenbrook Square mall Friday afternoon.
FWPD says there was a fight just after 3 p.m. inside the mall and a person pulled a gun. It was initially reported that shots were fired, but Fort Wayne police now say that isn’t the case.
The fight and events following it did cause the mall to be evacuated while police investigated.
According to police, they called in their Emergency Services Team (SWAT) because they received information a person involved in the fight was still hiding in the mall. However, no suspects were found.
After officers cleared the mall, shoppers were allowed to return.
Police say they are still investigating.
