This week, Boris Johnson has lost his majority, lost control of parliament, lost a vote over a no-deal Brexit, and lost an attempt to call a general election.
Some 21 MPs lost the Conservative whip after defying the prime minister, while Mr Johnson’s younger brother announced he is quitting as an MP. All of this happened in the first three days after the summer recess.
These are not normal times in Westminster and what happens next is anyone’s guess. Joining Adam Boulton to help make sense of it all are Conservative writer Tim Montgomerie, former Labour adviser James Meadway and Sky’s chief political correspondent Jon Craig.
