Genshin Impact Shenhe build: Best weapons, artifacts and teams

SHENHE has a lot to offer teams in Genshin Impact, whether you choose to use her as support or sub damage dealer.

She’s a Cryo fighter  who can deal big area-of-effect damage with her ultimate.

Most importantly this also shreds the enemies’ resistances, ensuring you deal even greater damage.

Best weapons for Shenhe in Genshin Impact

Shenhe’s best weapon is her signature polearm, the five-star Calamity Queller.

This will increase elemental damage from special abilities, and buffs attack.

The attack buff can also stack, meaning that your team will deal even more damage.

This buff also doubles in strength when she’s off-field, perfectly suiting her Sub DPS role.

The best alternative weapons for Shenhe as a Sub DPS are:

• Vortex Vanquisher (five-star polearm)
• Engulfing Lighting (five-star polearm)
• Skyward Spine (five-star polearm)
• Primordial Jade Winged Spear (five-star polearm)
• Wavebreaker’s Fin (four-star polearm)
• The Catch (four-star polearm, best free-to-play option)

Best artifacts for Shenhe in Genshin Impact

Shenhe’s attack is the important stat to build here, which is best done with a mix of Gladiator’s Finale and Shimenawa’s Reminiscence. 

Both of these provide a big buff to your attacks, and each artifact should invest in this, too.

If you are playing on a Freeze team, a full set of Blizzard Strayer is another good choice to maximise your reaction damage.

If no other team member carries Noblesse Oblige, Shenhe is a good candidate to take on this role and buff the team by bringing this support artifact.

Here are the stats you should focus on:

• Flower: HP (main stat), Attack %, Energy Recharge, Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate (secondary stats)
• Plume: Attack (main stat), Attack %, Energy Recharge, Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate (secondary stats)
• Sands: Attack % (main stat), Energy Recharge, Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)
• Goblet: Cryo Damage % (main stat), Attack %, Energy Recharge, Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate (secondary stats)
• Circlet: Attack % (main stat), Energy Recharge, Critical Damage, Critical Hit Rate, Elemental Mastery (secondary stats)

Best Teams for Shenhe in Genshin Impact

Shenhe complements pure Cryo teams or compositions based around physical damage, as they can benefit from all of her buffs. This limits the amount of characters she can work well with.

This is one team that could use her:

• Ayaka (Main DPS), Shenhe (Sub DPS), Sucrose (Support), Diona (Support)

This Cryo team takes full advantage of Shenhe’s buffs with Ayaka acting as the main damage dealer. Diona can shield and heal the team. Sucrose provides additional utility by debuffing the enemy.

Ganyu, Eula, and Rosaria are other main DPS characters that synergize well with Shenhe, while Layla is a great replacement for Diona. You can also switch Kazuha in for Sucrose.

• Ayaka (Main DPS), Shenhe (Sub DPS), Xingqiu (Support), Kokomi (Support)

This is a Freeze team which can utilise Shenhe’s abilities to destroy the enemy.

Ayaka and Shenhe provide strong Cryo attacks, while Xingqiu and Kokomi provide the Hydro application for Freeze.

They are also strong healers who can keep Ayaka and Shenhe healthy while they’re attacking.
