What are NFTs?
The Internet has been buzzing with a lot of talk about NFTs or Non-fungible tokens over the past few months.
The tokens surfaced in 2014 but gained prominence in 2021.
Despite it being around for some time, many internet users are still in the dark about what NFTs are and how they work.
In simple words, “Non-fungible” means something that’s unique, hence, can’t be replaced with something else.
For example, a bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies are considered fungible as we can trade one bitcoin for another. At the end of this trade, you’ll have exactly the same thing.
However, NFTs are a one-of-a-kind trading card and are non-fungible. If you traded one card for another, you’ll have something entirely different.
In simple words, NFTs can be anything digital, for example, drawings, music, digital art etc. On an interesting note, the founder of Twitter sold one of his tweets for just under $3 million.
Fans react to country singer’s new endeavour
Fans were more than thrilled to get Tyler’s NFTs for free, although some didn’t understand what they are actually getting.
