On Monday’s episode of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia, Grant Denyer broke down in tears as he recalled his near-fatal rally car driving accident.
And fans were moved to tears themselves, with many posting to social media to express their empathy for the 43-year-old former Family Feud host.
On person Tweeted: ‘Someone give Grant a massive hug please….’ along with a heart emoji.

Another watching at home chimed in: ‘Grant is getting emotional’ and added a crying-face emoji to indicate they’d welled up, too.
Someone added: ‘Aww Grant’ along with a frowning emoji, to indicate that the story had left them emotional.

Not everyone was convinced, however, with one person suspecting that Grant was being ‘strategic’ in sharing the tearful tale.
‘I feel Grant is too strategic with his stories. Eg that last story told everyone he a) is good at motor sport b) cares deeply for his family and c) supports his daughter pursuing no-trad sports for women Its a bit too convenient in my opinion’ they said.
During the episode, Grant recalled how he broke his coccyx when he crashed into a tree going 165km an hour, while competing in the Lake Mountain sprint in 2017 in Melbourne, as part of the Australian Rally Championships.

‘I put a lot of chips in the motorsport basket, and I’m prepared to take those risks but I don’t want to hurt the people that are around me,’ he said in between tears.
The TV host is married to media personality Chezzi Denyer, and the couple, who are expecting their third child, are already proud parents to daughters Sailor, nine, and Scout, five.
The Family Feud host debuted on Sunday’s premiere episode of I’m a Celebrity alongside other names including Jack Vidgen, Abbie Chatfield and Toni Pearen.
