Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the added 0.40% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the were Ekter (AT:), which rose 5.12% or 0.09 points to trade at 1.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Performance Technologies IT Solutions (AT:) added 4.21% or 0.24 points to end at 5.94 and Lamda Develop (AT:) was up 3.60% or 0.26 points to 7.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:), which fell 3.29% or 0.08 points to trade at 2.35 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:) declined 1.80% or 0.01 points to end at 0.35 and Quest Holdings (AT:) was down 1.50% or 0.09 points to 5.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 71 to 46 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.40% or 10.59 to $2,658.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.93% or 0.68 to hit $73.81 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.59% or 0.45 to trade at $76.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.20% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 108.93.
