GOOD MORNING CHELSEA FANS
Chelsea are looking to complete a deal for Erling Haaland this summer, according to Sky Sports.
They claim that Real Madrid are favourites to sign the player, but Chelsea are ready to make their move and have the money to get the deal done.
Haaland is under contract with Dortmund until 2024, but will have a release clause of £66m automatically triggered in summer 2022.
In other news, Billy Gilmour’s hopes of joining West Ham on loan could be hit by Chelsea not wanting to strengthen a direct rival’s squad in the fight for a top-four finish.
Gilmour has been touted to the Hammers as a possible option as his advisors desperately try to get him out of Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closes on Monday.
The midfielder now fears being left out in the cold with little opportunity to play over the remainder of the season as Tuchel prioritises the demands from the Chelsea board to qualify for the Champions League.
Meanwhile, the Blues are reportedly refusing to give up on David Alaba and believe Thomas Tuchel can tempt the star to London.
The Mail claims Chelsea are huge fans of the versatile Bayern Munich defender.
And it would be a no-brainer for the club to make an offer as Alaba, 28, nears the end of his Allianz Arena contract.
Finally, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has admitted he has been left with ‘mixed feelings’ after being reunited with former PSG boss Tuchel.
He said: “It’s been a really unique week for me, different to anything I’ve experienced before, because when managers have changed before, the incoming coach has never been someone I’ve already worked with, who I already have such a good relationship with.
“It’s always been new managers who I’ve not worked with before. So I’m left with mixed feelings. Sadness for one, happiness for the other.”
