UPDATE: The High Park Fire is burning about 400 acres in Teller County. The fire started early evening on Thursday and crews were still hard at work into Friday morning. The most recent update from TCSO notes there is, as yet, no containment on this fire.
But, some good news, TSCO also reported no structures have been damaged.

UPDATE: The Teller County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that as of 6:52 p.m. the fire is at 386 acres with 120 people from 40 residences evacuated out of Lakemoor Subdivision. Cripple Creek Ranches is still on Pre-evacuation notice only. The shelter is at Cripple Creek Schools.
TELLER COUNTY, Colo. — A fire, now known as the “High Park” Fire is burning in Teller County off County Road 11, south of Bear Trap and Lakemoor, according to the Teller County Sheriff.
The Teller County Board of Commissioners has declared the fire “a local disaster,” though there have been no updates regarding damages or injuries as of 7:20 p.m. on Thursday.
Commissioners say “all available crews are on scene, and members of the public are requested to avoid the area.”
Here is the current evacuation area (as of 5:30 p.m.):
Everyone in the area of Lakemoor Subdivision and area between County RD 11 and County Rd 1 is ordered to evacuate immediately.
Cripple Creek Ranches Subdivision is under a pre-evacuation notice.
