Under SB478 the ratio for building units/ground coverage has changed to 1.25. I don’t know what the FAR for my County was before, but they had said I could build one unit for every 2,400 sq feet of land with a clause that the building could not cover more than 50% of the land (.35 acres). Would this apply to my county or only counties where the land per unit ratio was more restrictive? If it applies, does it affect the sq feet to unit conversion? I am also being told I can build 2 ADU’s and 1 JADU.
