Jane Fonda’s plastic surgery explored
Given the nature of Jane Fonda’s occupation, it’s no wonder that the now 83-year-old has felt the need to hit the “pause” button on ageing. Being an actress, keeping up with the competition is often difficult and looks are, obviously, important.
Jane is a fan of “subtle cosmetic surgery” and has publicly spoken about getting work done in her 2018 HBO documentary. She said: “I’m glad I look good for my age, but I’ve had plastic surgery“.
As per Distractify, she’s had multiple facelifts and under-eye bag removal and breast implants but she later had them removed.
As reported by The Guardian in 2015, Jane said that she regained 10 years by having plastic surgery: “I wish I were brave enough to not do plastic surgery but I think I bought myself a decade“.
Jane ‘quit surgery’ at 82 years old
Starring as Grace in Grace ad Frankie in 2021, Jane Fonda doesn’t look a day over 60. However, she actually stopped having surgery a year ago and vowed to “quit surgery” forevermore.
Jane, who’s a brand ambassador for L’Oréal, spoke to Elle Canada in 2020 and said: “I can’t pretend that I’m not vain, but there isn’t going to be any more plastic surgery—I’m not going to cut myself up anymore…“
The actress battled with bulimia for a huge part of her life and also said to Elle: “I have to work every day to be self-accepting; it doesn’t come easy to me.”
