The teams for Super Bowl LVI have been decided, but how is it determined who will be the home team for the 2022 game?
32 started, 30 have fallen and now just two remain.
The winners of Super Bowl LVI will either be the Cincinnati Bengals or the LA Rams.
The two franchises will meet in SoFi Stadium on February 13th to determine the 2022 NFL champions.
Although the game will be taking place at the Rams home stadium, it does not necessarily guarantee them being the home team for the Super Bowl.

Home team decided for Super Bowl
The way in which the home team for Super Bowl is decided is actually pretty simple.
The designation is awarded on an rotating basis between the two conferences – the AFC and NFC.
Home teams for Super Bowls in even years – such as 2022 – are allocated by whichever one is from the AFC.
In odd years, the home team designation is handed to the NFC representative in the game.
For Super Bowl LVI in 2022, it means that the home team will be the Bengals, and the Rams the road team.
That’s despite the game taking place on the Rams home soil!
What the road team gets
After the home team is allocated for Super Bowl, there are still some things that need to be worked out.
The pre-game coin toss is given to the road team – in this case the Rams.
The Bengals will be allowed to opt for which kit they would like to wear thanks to their home team designation.
In the 2021/22 regular season, the Bengals had a home record of 5-4.
In comparison, the Rams have a away record of 7-2 in the regular portion of the campaign.
