TikTok trials three minute videos
At the start of December 2020, TikTok started trialling a new update that lets users post videos that are up to three minutes long.
This means that rather than choosing the usual 15 or 60 second options, you can film and edit three whole minutes of footage.
However, the feature is only available for some people right now.
How do you know if you’re part of the trial?
If your account is part of the trial, you will have received a notification that says:
“Upload longer videos: You have early access to uploading videos up to 3 minutes long on the TikTok app and desktop! To try it out, make sure your app is up-to-date and try uploading a video from your device to the app or tiktok.com.”
Unfortunately, if you didn’t receive this message, you won’t be able to make three minute videos on TikTok.
