Starbucks recently recalled its Vanilla Frappuccino bottles as they may contain glass, but how do you find out if you have one of those bottles?
PepsiCo recently confirmed the news that several bottles were recalled as they may contain glass. It did not take long for the news to go viral on social media.
The company has given details on the products that have been affected.
How to find Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino bottles that are recalled
The drinks that have been recalled contain the expiration date of March 8, 2023, May 29, 2023, June 4, 2023, and June 10, 2023. At the same time, they have UPC number 0 12000-81331 3. If you have the product or any concerns, you can contact FDA’s Consumer Relations at 1-800-211-8307.
Keep in mind, only Starbucks Vanilla Frappuccino chilled bottles have been affected. More than 25,000 bottles have been recalled, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. These drinks were distributed nationwide.
These products were not sold at Starbucks’ retail locations.
What we know about the return
The FDA report noted that the product was recalled due to the presence of a “foreign object (glass).” This is a class II recall.
In the statement, FDA said: “The North American Coffee Partnership is committed to a high level of quality in the products we serve. Delivering a quality experience to our consumers is our top priority and we always act with an abundance of caution whenever a potential concern is raised.”
What is a class II recall?
As per FDA, “Class II Recalls are issued on products that have a lower chance of causing major injuries or death, but where there is still the possibility of serious enough adverse events to have irreversible consequences.”
The FDA and USDA tend to follow the same rule, that is, 1 is for serious and dangerous situations, 2 denotes potentially dangerous, while three is for situations that are categorized as least dangerous.
At the moment, there are no new updates on the Starbucks drink. If you happen to have one of the bottles, we urge you to contact consumer relations as soon as possible.
