On June 24, Olivia announced on Instagram that she was organizing a special prom event for her “fav ppl”. The singer invited her fans in person for her SOUR Prom, inspired by her latest album Sour.

How to stream the virtual concert film

The event which spans for nearly an hour and a half went live on Tuesday, June 29 at 8:30 PT. The event was deemed as “ultimate alternative prom experience” and saw Olivia perform songs from Sour as the unconventional prom Queen. She also held a pre-prom event before the actual concert took off.
Throughout the prom concert film, the singing sensation is seen interacting with fans, recreating prom and enacting it. Fans couldn’t have been more excited as not only did they get to watch Olivia perform her hits songs live, but they also got to live through it as the world still continues to cope with the novel coronavirus.
Twitter reacts to SOUR Prom
Fans aren’t able to stop raving about the ever-talented Olivia after watching her latest virtual event, which has clearly sent them into a tizzy. Twitter soon started trending “SOURProm” as the majority of the users took to the platform to heap her praise.
One thrilled fan tweeted, “How is Olivia Rodrigo so good at making 30-something me feel like a boy just crushed in my heart in high school all over again”
Adding to the above tweet another said, “#SOURprom is SO good as expected—but girl where are my babies favorite crime and hope ur ok?

Olivia Rodrigo’s album explored!
Sour Prom’s success shouldn’t come as a surprise considering how big a hit Olivia’s debut album Sour has been.
The studio album was released on May 21 and consists of eleven tracks that were recorded during the COVID 19 lockdown. From pop punk to bedroom ballads, the songs navigate various themes of adolescence, heartbreaks and failed romances.
Olivia first released three singles, Drivers License, Deja Vu and Good 4 U, all of which reached the top 3 of US Billboard Hot 100. Meanwhile, her another single from the album, Traitor, made it to the ninth spot, thus becoming the fourth song from Sour to find itself in the top 10 of Hot 100.
