Sir Mo Farah’s wife Tania believes her athlete husband will be feeling gutted after not winning 12 stars for camp on last night’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
The public had voted for the Olympic gold medallist to face the Bushtucker Trial Fort Locks – finally giving Jordan North a break, after he’d been voted for all of the first three trials.
Sir Mo seemed pretty excited and up for the challenge when his name was called out by Ant and Dec, but despite giving it his all, he couldn’t help but feel a little miffed, after he failed to win all 12 stars.
Speaking to Vick Hope on the I’m A Celeb spin-off show The Daily Drop, Tania explained that Sir Mo would have felt like he had failed the challenge after only getting nine stars for camp.
‘Nine out of 12 [stars] is not bad,’ she said.
‘He’s always looking for the maximum, he always wants to perfect any challenge he does – so for him anything less than 12 would have been a failure, but that’s just the way he thinks.’
Speaking about how she cried with laughter while watching her hubby take on the trial, Tania added: ‘ I just thought it was brilliant. I didn’t think he’d react as scared as he did – he didn’t know what was in there so probably thought it was snakes in every box.’
During the Bucktucker Trial, Sir Mo was tasked with retrieving stars from the locked hell holes built into the castle walls.
He had to retrieve the keys for each lock that were attached to chains in the holes – and they were obviously filled with critters.
Once he had opened the locked hell hole, he was faced with more critters as he reached in to grab each star.
All 12 campmates also had to take on a live trial last night – and it was the boys against the girls.
The celebs’ names were called out during each round, and when it came to Sir Mo’s turn, he had to face his fear by having a snake put around his neck.
‘That was probably my favourite part of the show,’ Tania laughed.

‘I’ve been waiting for him to face a snake for years – it’s his biggest fear by far. He’s petrified by them.
‘I saw it on his face. It was like he went into a trance. He froze. It was like he’d left his head for a minute, I just thought that was brilliant.’
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns tonight at 8.45pm on ITV.
