DEAR DEIDRE: MY girlfriend and I have been together for a year and a half.
As soon as I can get a job in her area, we plan to move in together.
I normally drive to see her but she lives 100 miles away so I’m not sure I’m allowed to form a support bubble with her.
Is there a guideline on this, for support bubbles?
We really missed each other during the first lockdown and I’ve been dreading this one, too.
I’m worried our relationship will not last these weeks, or months, apart.

My team and I are working safely from home but we are here to help you as always.
DEIDRE SAYS: This past year has been so hard for all sorts of relationships – romantic, working and even friendships.
As the regulations stand, none of us are permitted to travel too far from our towns or villages so you are therefore restricted.
And I’m really sorry to confirm that, as you live 100 miles apart, you cannot be considered local.
For the latest government guidance, go to gov.uk/guidance/national-lockdown-stay-at-home.
Even though currently you can’t drive to be with your girlfriend, you can still support each other. Keep calling, video each other, write, send gifts.
There are still ways you can be there for one another.
