Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton says it’s important Australia gets the proposed integrity commission right so it can suitably deal with “serious corruption”.
The government has released draft legislation for the commission and is liaising with key stakeholders on the matter.
“It’s important for our country, as we’ve seen in other states and territories, to get the design right of an integrity commission,” Mr Dutton said.
“This integrity commission deals with serious corruption, that’s the proposal here.”
