THESE incredible folding homes can be taken anywhere in the world where they can be unfurled and set up in just three hours.
The fold-up dwellings are the genius of Latvian start-up Brette Haus and can be transported to any flat location by truck.
The homes come in three designs – Compact, Rustic and Urban – and range from 18 to 108 square metres.
All of them have double-glazing, a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a bedroom.
And they also come complete with basic facilities – a toilet, sink, shower, plumbing, and electrical systems.
While they can all be connected to a sewer and electricity network, Brette Haus suggests using a local expert to get this sorted, the Daily Mail reports.
On the market, the pop-up buildings cost between 18,000 euros (£16,000) and 50,000 euros (£44,500), depending on their level of spec.
And Brette Haus says most countries do not require a building permit or much paperwork for their setup.
If needed, potential buyers can choose to add an Ikea kitchen installation, a dishwasher or washing machine, solar energy kit, infrared heating, a water heater, a “smart home” system and custom facade finish.
Brette Haus says how the recyclable structures, which are made from cross-laminated timber (CLT), can be used, is endless.
They suggest they using them as affordable housing, cafes, an office, a garden house, a guardhouse, a glamping lodge or a rooftop hotel suite.
The Compact models can even be joined together to make little foldable towns.
Of the designs, Brette Haus says: “Our foldable Compact houses can easily adapt to the size of your business. Attach one unit to another and you will get a much bigger construction.
“This option allows to create large residential or retail chains similar to townhouses but with a very important benefit – they are movable and can be freely relocated or compactly stored when not needed.”
They add: “Foldable houses can emerge not only as individual projects but can form new social structures.”
The foldable builds, which take around eight weeks to manufacture, can all be shipped within a week to mainland Europe.
But as they fit inside shipping containers, the units can be delivered all over the world.
