Industry doubts effectiveness of new launch licensing fees

WASHINGTON — Despite flat budgets for the Federal Aviation Administration office that oversees commercial spaceflight, industry has mixed opinions of a provision in the budget reconciliation bill that would raise funding for it through licensing fees.
