Atlanta Braves pitcher Ian Anderson was on course for a no hit game against the Astros in the World Series, but is Anderson a rookie?
Anderson stars as Braves go 2-1 up
On a low scoring night at Truist Park, Braves pitcher Ian Anderson was the star of the show.
The 23-year-old threw five scoreless innings and sent three Astros batters walking back.
While he was on course for a rare perfect game, coach Brian Snitker opted to replace Anderson for the final three innings.
Snitker revealed post game that Anderson was never going to play the full match, and was always going to be replaced.
The Braves now lead 2-1 after three games, with the next two World Series games due to be played on home soil.
But Anderson’s performance left some wanting to know a little more about him.
Let’s take a look.
