Israeli forces on Saturday carried out 10 air strikes on Khan Younis inside the yellow line, while artillery shelling targeted the eastern part of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
The yellow line in Gaza demarcates the area in which Israeli troops can remain according to the ceasefire plan. It is an operational boundary imposed by the Israeli military, which has, since the US brokered ceasefire came into effect last month, turned into a restricted-movement zone.Â
Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli military also blew up buildings east of Gaza City.Â
A total of 497 violations have been recorded since the US-brokered agreement came into force six weeks ago, with nearly 350 Palestinians killed, the report said.Â
