The Dallas Cowboys are not off to a strong start this season. They rank dead last in the NFC East division, while still maintaining the same record. They have a 3-7 start to this season. To make the playoffs this season will be a tough challenge.
The Cowboys are without Dak Prescott since after their win against the New York Giants. The Cowboys since losing Dak were on a four-game losing streak. They were able to end the losing streak against the Minnesota Vikings.
Anthony Brown and Andy Dalton deputized for Dak Prescott during the time he was out. But Brown suffered another injury during the game against the Vikings.
Ryan Clark talked about the situation surrounding the Dallas Cowboys on ESPN’s First Take. He suggested that the Dallas Cowboys making the playoffs is a win for them. “If this team makes it to the playoffs, it’s a success. And it’s not even about Dak Prescott. It’s about Mike McCarthy and this coaching staff being able to say they turned this thing around.”
Dallas Cowboys – recovery in form
Clark said that the coaching staff has a point to prove by leading this team to the playoffs without star player Dak Prescott. “Being able to say ‘you know what, we didn’t start out right, we didn’t have an offseason, we didn’t have a training camp but look what we did’.”
Clark added that the coaching staff has a lot to get through. “ ‘Look how we are moving forward and we can resign Dak Prescott in the off-season and become even better. We’re already the best team in the NFC east as you can see we made it to the playoffs without Dak, and look at what we had.’ ”
Clark stated that he does want this team to win in the playoffs. “So if this team does make it to the playoffs, if they find ways to win games, and oh my goodness I want them to win a playoff game.”
While the Cowboys are still on a negative record, they can mathematically reach the playoffs if they can win their remaining games this season.
