Renowned snack company Jacob’s is going against the grain with its new snack range.
The new Mini Cheddar Sticks officially launched on 14 January and are a departure from the signature circular treats we are used to, coming in a more linear, baton shape.
Made with real cheese, the new snacks come in two mouth watering flavours – a Rich & Tangy Cheddar and Grilled Cheddar & Sizzling Steak.
The golden-baked treats are exclusively at Tesco, in a 150g sharing pack currently on offer for £1 at Tesco, down from the usual retail price of £1.99.
Shoppers have already been going crazy over the new items on social media, with many snack fans taking to Twitter to share their excitement.
One Twitter user called @crisplovers wrote: “Lots of flavour on these new Rich & Tangy Cheddar Sticks from @JacobsSnacks. We prefer the flavour of the original Mini Cheddars though. Just saying. #welovecrisps “.
Another added “My mum calls mini cheddars “cheesettes”, so assuming she’ll call these “cheese sticks” Funny world isn’t it!?!”
We pretty sure they’ll be a hit with the whole family during in lockdown, you’ll just have to decide whether to enjoy them alone or share with loved ones.
The Sticks follow the launch of a range of Mexican-inspired flavour variants that came out last year. The new snacking variants will then roll out across multiple grocery and convenience stores in February.
Good news for eco-conscious fans – the pladis’ packaging will be recyclable through its partnership with Terracycle too.
