Jacqueline Jossa has reportedly turned down the chance to return to I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and spend time in the castle camp.
The 28-year-old former EastEnders star was crowned Queen of the Jungle last year after she swept to victory Down Under.
ITV reportedly wanted her to be part of the new series, which is now being filmed at Gwrych Castle in North Wales after coronavirus restrictions stopped the show heading to Australia again.
The mum-of-two was wanted by I’m A Celeb bosses to spend a night in camp before introducing a Bushtucker Trial for the other campmates to undertake.
Jacqueline has decided that she would like to keep her participation in the series to just being there at the final to hand over her jungle crown to the winner of this series.
It has been reported that other former campmates and winners, Vicky Pattison, Charlie Brooks and Joe Swash have all signed up to be involved with show producers telling them to “prepare for all eventualities”.
While the return of Jacqueline to the show would have been great for the bosses, the actress had already taken the step of making her West End debut in A Christmas Carol.
A source has told The Sun that Jac is “really grateful to ITV” but she “didn’t want to steal anyone else’s thunder” by making a cameo appearance.
The source added: “She’s had her jungle experience and they should have their own.
“She accepted the chance to hand over the crown but it’ll be a flying visit.”
Jacqueline has already shared her prediction as to who she thinks will be there in the final days.
It may come as no surprise that she is leaning towards the EastEnders contingent in the camp, Shane Richie and Jessica Plummer, as the ones Jacqueline believes could go all the way.
She said: “Obviously I’ve met Shane, I haven’t met Jessica but she seems absolutely lovely and I feel she could potentially win.”
