Jake Paul continued to prove his boxing prowess in the ring after beating Tyron Woodley on points to win their cruiserweight battle in Cleveland.
The younger of the two YouTube brothers, Paul won the fourth professional fight of his career against former UFC champion Woodley, who was making his boxing debut.
And despite being given a much tougher night’s work than many expected, Paul ultimately came out with the fourth victory of his career, winning via split decision 78-74, 77-75, 75-77.
The judges only agreed on the of the eight rounds with one judge giving the final four to Paul and the other giving the final four rounds to Woodley.

Paul refused to touch gloves with Woodley before the bout as his name shot up in LED lights on his trunks.
Paul landed six punches in total in the first round compared to Woodley, who threw just six in total himself as he was the more aggressive from the outset than his rival.
None of Paul’s fights so far in his career had gone past the second round but an improved showing from Woodley took it past that point for the first time as he looked to follow through on his promise to take the fight to the later rounds and out of the YouTuber’s comfort zone.
But he didn’t look any less comfortable in the third, as Paul landed a huge uppercut on Woodley before the UFC star landed a right after the bell to send tempers flaring.
And Woodley continued to grow into the fight and gave Paul his first taste of adversity in boxing as he found himself on the wrong end of a huge left hook.
He then hit Paul with a big right which would have sent Paul to the canvas if not for ropes as Paul lost the first orund of his career.
The following rounds were far closer than the preceding ones as Woodley and Paul took each other to places they’d never been before.
Perhaps it was a sign of mutual respect for what had happened that the two touched gloves ahead of the final round.
Both men did all they could to knock out the other in the final round but neither could manage it as Paul held on to win on points.
That means that Woodley will have to get the loser’s tattoo that the duo bet on prior to the fight.
And social media was surprised it ended in a split decision, with Paul himself chipping in with: “that’s bulls***, especially in my home town. Where’s that judge at?”
