Jennifer Aniston has wished longtime pal Paul Rudd a happy birthday with a backhanded compliment on Instagram.
Jennifer, 52, took to the social media platform to share her well wishes to her former co-star with her 36 million followers.
But while she shared her love for the star, she was also quick to jibe him for not ageing.
“Happy birthday #PaulRudd!! You don’t age, which is weird – but we celebrate you anyway,” the actress wrote on an image from their 2012 comedy, Wanderlust.
She shared more stills from the pair’s acting career together in a second post alongside a caption saying: “I love you!!!!”
The images were of a pillow-fight the pair acted out for their joint 2012 GQ cover story to promote Wanderlust.
She then followed up the posts on her Instagram story with a gif of the pair awkwardly embracing, this time accompanied by love heart emojis.
The duo have regularly appeared on screen together, with both appearing in the 1998 movie The Object of My Affection.
They also appeared in 17 episodes of Friends together as Paul played the love interest of Phoebe Buffay, Mike Hannigan.
And it wasn’t just the Along Came Polly star who quipped about the star’s youthful appearance on his birthday.
Mark Ruffalo shared an image of Paul wearing an Ant-Man suit of amour and the powerful Infinity Gauntlet and said: “Happy birthday, Paul Rudd! Did I find the secret behind your eternal youth?”
Fans of the star also took to social media to wish him a happy birthday.
While some sent the usual simplistic compliments, others posted images of the star from years gone by alongside more recent photos of him to back up Jennifer’s claims that he doesn’t age.
The Netflix social media account got on board too and tweeted: “Paul Rudd turns 52 years old today and, once again, I’d just like to say: HOW DOES THIS MAN NOT AGE?!?”
