John Boyega has obtained an apology from fragrance model Jo Malone after they lower him from an advert he helped create.
The Star Wars actor appeared within the London Gent marketing campaign in August after being named the model’s first male international ambassador final 12 months.
Within the advert, John is seen strolling round his hometown of Peckham, London and partying with household and pals whereas additionally carrying conventional Nigerian clothes.
Nevertheless, the actor was fully edited out of the advert for the Chinese language market and as an alternative changed by actor Liu Haoran.
Addressing the controversy, Jo Malone has now issued an apology and defined in an announcement to The Hollywood Reporter: ‘We deeply apologise for what, on our finish, was a mistake within the native execution of the John Boyega marketing campaign.
‘John is an amazing artist with nice private imaginative and prescient and path. The idea for the movie was primarily based on John’s private experiences and mustn’t have been replicated.’
