Keanu Reeves has always been cool, but filming in the snow took it to a new level as he appeared to have a blast while filming for John Wick 4.
The actor looked entirely unfazed by the freezing New York City snow, sliding down a railing and giving a thumbs up to a helicopter crew that was flying at low altitudes
Another shot saw Keanu, 57, doing what he does best and smouldering into the distance as he got into character.
Donning just the trademark suit, there appeared to be no complaints from the actor, as he enjoyed the frankly breathtakingly beautiful scenes around him.
The film shoot for the fourth instalment in the franchise has moved to the US after Keanu was seen out and about across Europe as he reprised his role as stoic ex-assassin John Wick.
The Matrix star first played John Wick in 2014, about a man seeking revenge after his dog his killed.
He went on to appear in two sequels – John Wick: Chapter 2 in 2017 and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum in 2019.
Director Chad Stahelski told Collider that we can expect big things from the next movie, which is being shot in Berlin, Paris, New York and Japan.
‘We submitted an idea or thematic [plan] and it was really big,’ he said.
‘So, we’re talking about doing a little bit more than a [John Wick 4], or something like that, and trying to develop that.’
He added at the time: ‘I’m in a happy place where we are in development…we’re in a place where we know what we want do and where we want to do it.’
It was originally due for release last year but the Covid-19 pandemic has delayed it to May 27.
Singer Rina Sawayama is about to make her acting debut in the film, with the star praising the leading man.
She told Metro.co.uk: ‘Keanu is as lovely as everyone thinks he is. He’s just the most gorgeous, humble [person]. So sweet, super lovely, just looks after everyone around him.
‘I really loved working on that set. He’s always really conscious of what’s happening around him. I think people just love working with him and he’s a really great presence. Not just a great film presence but just a nice person to be around.’
She continued: ‘He’s also one of the executive producers on the film so the fact that he brought me on-board is so cool. He’s always so sweet when we’re training together. We were training together for five weeks – we were in the same room for that time training – and we just glanced over at each other like “we’re both dying”. Just sharing in that feeling of dying but having a good time.’
John Wick 4 is set for release on May 27, 2022.
