Gary Goldsmith, 52, is the younger brother of Kate Middleton’s mother, Carole Middleton. He attended both Kate and Pippa Middleton’s weddings.
At the age of 15, he served as usher at Carole’s wedding when he married her husband Michael in 1980.
Gary has tied the knot four times and has one daughter.
In 2017, he pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating and was sentenced to a 12-month community order with 20 sessions of a rehabilitation order requirement.

Gary’s estimated fortune is £30 million which he has amassed thanks to his career in IT recruitment.
He joined the IT recruitment company Computer Futures and within six months he started working as a director and bought shares. The Sun reports that he sold his shares for £17 million in 2005.
Gary owns an eight-acre villa called Maison de Bang Bang in Ibiza.

The Day Will and Kate Got Married on ITV
The ITV documentary will feature interviews with various people from the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
They include Kate’s uncle Gary, wedding cake maker Fiona Cairns, as well as ex-Metropolitan Police commander Bob Broadhurst who was in charge during the wedding day.
Speaking in the documentary, Gary called Kate and William’s wedding a “fairy tale beyond fairy tales”, and said:
“It’s a fairy tale beyond fairy tales. We come from really humble stock. My father was a painter and decorator, mum was an accounts clerk and their eldest granddaughter was at Westminster Abbey about to marry the future king of this country.”
The Day Will and Kate Got Married airs on Wednesday, April 7th, on ITV at 9 pm.
