Katie Holmes has revealed she takes each year with “gratitude” as she gets older.
The Dawson’s Creek star, 42, admits that she doesn’t “worry about not having make up on” these days and instead simply values inner beauty the most.
Speaking to People Magazine, the actress said: “I embrace my age with gratitude and I don’t worry about not having make up on. My joy comes from within.”
And she says the key is look after your body.
She continued: “I drink a lot of water and try to eat a lot of vegetables to keep my skin as healthy as possible.
“I take care of my skin by cleaning it every morning and evening, [and] wearing a lot of hyaluronic [acid] serum and moisturiser.”
The Batman Begins star also expressed her gratitude at growing up three older sisters who “taught me how to wear make up”.
And to ensure she is protected against harmful rays she also revealed that she never leaves the house without wearing sunscreen and lip gloss.
Although she mainly keeps her life private, the Hollywood star had been spotted enjoying some quality time with her 14-year-old daughter Suri during the coronavirus pandemic.
The actress had shared a photo of her surroundings on Instagram back in May, and fans were quick to comment on her location.
Fans of Katie were quick to point out on social media that she had returned to her Ohio roots for a trip away.
In February the mother and daughter were also spotted in New York, with the teenager almost the same height as her mum and bearing a striking resemblance.

Katie, who was married to Tom Cruise for six years before splitting in 2012, is reportedly in a relationship with chef Emilio Vitolo Jr.
She has also been romantically linked previously with fellow screen star Jamie Foxx.
