KATIE Price hit the shops in her mobility scooter – splashing out on a new pair of trainers with boyfriend Carl Woods.
The loved-up couple spent up big in department store Selfridges in matching olive green tracksuits.
Katie, 42, cruised around the shops in her new mobility scooter with personalised number plates – Woods K – where she has taken on Carl’s surname.
She also debuted her new Swarovski encrusted air boots that she will be wearing for months as recovers from surgery after breaking both her feet on a recent holiday to Turkey.
The couple tried on expensive watches and designer sneakers before leaving the store with an armful of big shopping bags.
The trip to Selfridges comes after an anonymous source tipped off the court about the star’s “lavish spending” – a charge Katie denied.
An insider told The Sun Online: “Katie was furious when she heard about this. The idea that Katie has been living it up simply isn’t true. The truth is she’s been working her backside off while trying to get better and leaves her financial business to the accountants.
“She thinks someone who is jealous of her is simply out to get her and trying to make her life a misery at a time she really doesn’t need it.”
The source added: “Katie has been working really hard to clear her debts and sort the bankruptcy out and is confident it will all be resolved soon. Once it has been Katie doesn’t see any need to change the way she lives her life. Why should she?
“She works hard and plays hard and always will. There’s no way that is going to change and will continue to enjoy holidays and buy nice things if she wants to. Anyone who has a problem with it can do one.”
Katie’s boyfriend Carl Woods is believed to be “furious” after learning someone had tipped off the courts.
“Carl was really angry and is determined to find out who is s*** stirring,” the insider said. “He and Katie have a pretty good idea who it is.
“Carl is massively protective of Katie and It’s come at a time when she really doesn’t need it. She is trying to focus on recovering from illness and Carl isn’t happy about the extra stress and strain all this has put her under.”
The 42-year-old star was officially declared bankrupt last November – but hasn’t lived a frugal life this year.
In fact, Katie has enjoyed no less than five holidays since her bankruptcy, and those who were owed money from the former glamour model are less than impressed.
The mother-of-five won’t be discharged from her bankruptcy until November, and until then she is supposed to pay any money that she makes from either selling her belongings or paid work to the creditors.
A source told The Sun Online: “Katie’s creditors have obviously seen her holidays, the products she’s advertising and her days out on her YouTube channel and tipped off the bankruptcy court anonymously.
Katie’s popular YouTube channel earns revenue through advertisements that play before the videos.
She also regularly promotes products on her social media accounts, which would earn her a generous amount each time, and has her own clothing ranges.

She also showed off how much she got her son Junior for his 15th birthday – with just one of the teen’s pile of presents setting her back £400.
Katie regularly documents fun days out and swanky dinners on her Instagram Story, suggesting that she has more cash than she let on to the courts.
In 2018, Katie – who was once worth an estimated £45 million – took out an individual voluntary arrangement agreeing to pay off £12,000 a month to her creditors.
When she had failed to do this 12 months later, the star was declared bankrupt – with it believed she had debts of around £800,000 at the time.
