Precinct 4 commissioner race
VICTORIA COUNTY, Texas – Kenneth Sexton is running for Commissioner in precinct 4 against incumbent Clint Ives. Sexton comes from a small family with one sister. Now, he lives in Inez with his wife and three children. In addition, Sexton owns a construction company where they build cattle pins and other structures.
During an interview, Sexton said he would bring a lot to the table as commissioner and referred back to his business as an example.
“I think I bring a lot to the table as far as commissioner. I kind of refer to back to my business, I’ve worked cattle, horseback since I was twenty years old. I’ve worked in different situations, worked in different cow pins. Just like when people want me to design them a set of cattle pins. One of the things that I can tell them is that when I bring to the table. Experience,” said Sexton.
Furthermore, if elected, Sexton said he would remain an honest and transparent leader.
I don’t just get a drawing out of a book. I understand the philosophy and how to work cattle and I know how to design cattle pins. With that said, this same business that I have done as far as life situations. As far as honesty and transparency and accountability is all trained me for this position,” he said. “I mean these are all traits that I feel like a good county commissioner should have and I know that I would fit right into it, without a doubt.”
