LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Starting on Monday, September 13, the La Crosse County Health Department and the Wisconsin National Guard are offering the public a free COVID-19 drive-thru testing site.
The testing opens at 11 a.m. There are 200 tests available.
People can go to the parking lot at the Health and Human Services Building at 300 4th St. N. for the testing.
No appointment is needed, but people are asked to either pre-register in advance or on site. Registration can be done following this link. The registration is used for communicating the results of the test, which the county said would be available in 2-3 business days.
“Having the Guard offer free testing in the central city of La Crosse provides great accessibility for our community”, said Audra Martine, Health Director. “In combination with testing available through our health care partners and testing occurring at 4 of 5 public school districts this testing site helps to assure that everyone needing testing can get it.”
Testing is scheduled for every Monday through December 13.
