Lando Norris is not just a splendid pilot on the track, he is also a phenomenal gamer on the simulator. When COVID put a halt to the F1 season, Lando spent time on his simulator, racing with his peers. However, he does not foresee much gaming action this winter.
The Briton is flourishing like old wine. He gets better every year, and very soon, he will be a major contender for the title. While he dedicates most of his time to F1, he is also engaged with his Esports team, Quadrant.
Nonetheless, he admitted that this year, before the season, he will stay with his parents and put his family first. Thus, when RacingNews365 asked him if he’ll race with Max Verstappen on the sim, he could not promise much.
“I asked Max Verstappen during the briefing of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix if he expects him to race a lot on the sim this winter. For me that is not the case, as I will be spending a lot of time with my family.
“I don’t have a sim with my parents and therefore I don’t expect that I will do much sim racing with Max this winter,” remarked the McLaren pilot.
Lando Norris fancies designing helmets
The 21-year-old is one of the most formidable pilots on the grid. It is not just his stint at Abu Dhabi, but his entire 2020 season that shocked the paddock. From his 2019 form to the drastic improvement he showed this year, he shocked several pundits on the grid. If he follows this pattern, he will definitely come out stronger this season.
Other than his racecraft in 2020, another interesting thing about Lando are his helmets. His headgear is usually unique, and it is also one of his passions. Therefore, we are expecting some more attractive designs from him this season.
While he spends the last few days of his holidays before he joins back for 2021, Lando reveals that he would indulge in designing a few helmets.
“I expect Bell (his helmet manufacturer, ed.) To send me a few more helmets. I like to make helmet designs, so it’s nice that Bell sends me some helmets,” concluded Lando.
Lando Norris is a great talent within the grid, At such a young age, the feats he had pulled off is commendable. He has bagged a contract with a bigshot constructor like McLaren and his driving hints at his first race win in 2021. All we hope for is his helmet shining brightly while he crosses the line.
