Las Vegas Strip casinos are looking to attract more guests in 2025 after a five-month stretch of declining gambling revenue from July through November 2024.
To bring gamblers back to the tables, several casinos plan to open new restaurants onsite and many also plan to bring in more star-studded entertainment during the year.

MGM Resorts International is planning to open new restaurants this year at MGM Grand’s former Avenue Café, and at its newly reflagged W Hotel later this year.

Wynn Las Vegas in mid-July 2024 closed its popular picturesque Lakeside Grill that overlooked the hotel’s Lake of Dreams with plans to replace the seafood restaurant in early 2025 with a new Mediterranean seafood eatery, Fiola Mare.
The new restaurant will be operated by chef Fabio Trabocchi, who has won James Beard and Michelin awards for his mid-Atlantic and South Florida restaurants.
Casinos are so serious about bringing in new business that the Strip has already booked over 10 new headliner residencies through August 2025.
New residencies coming to the Strip
Country superstar Blake Shelton will open his first-ever Las Vegas Strip residency for six shows from Feb. 5-15, 2025, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

For rock fans, Bryan Adams brings his “Roll With The Punches 2025” residency to Wynn Resorts’ Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on March 7, 8, 12, 14, 15, and 16, and Rockin’ Rod Stewart brings his all-new “The Encore Shows” residency to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for 12 shows, on March 12, 14, 15, 19, 21, and 22, May 29, 31, and June 1, 5, 7, and 8, 2025.
Also, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts perform five shows at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, on June 13, 14, 18, 20,

Harder rock fans can catch metal rock band Motley Crue at Dolby Live at Park MGM Las Vegas for an 11-show residency on March 28 and 29; and April 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 16, 18, and 19, 2025 or Red Rocker Sammy Hagar at Dolby Live for a nine-show residency on April 30, May 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, and 17, 2025.
Scorpions also arrive at PH Live at Planet Hollywood for five shows to celebrate their 60th Anniversary residency on Feb. 27, March 1, 6, 8, and 11, 2025.

For pop fans, Singer Josh Groban takes the stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on May 9, 10, 14, 16, and 17, 2025, or New Kids On The Block has signed for 24 shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM in June, July, November 2025 and February 2026.
Those who seek some comedy with their music, Weird Al Yankovic performs six shows at the Venetian Theatre at the Venetian Resort on June 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, and 21.
Nelly signs for new Strip residency
Finally, legendary hip-hop superstar Nelly has signed for a new six-show residency at Resorts World Las Vegas on the Strip starting Jan. 25 at the casino’s at Zouk Nightclub.
Nelly continues his residency May 4 at Resort World’s Ayu Dayclub, then back to Zouk on June 28, July 4 and July 18, before finishing at Ayu Dayclub on Aug. 31.
Additional show dates are to be announced, according to a statement. Tickets for all performances are currently on sale at zoukgrouplv.com/nelly.
Nelly debuted with his 2000 solo album “Country Grammar,” featuring his hit “Ride Wit Me,” followed in 2002 with his album “Nellyville.,” with huge hits “Hot In Herre” and “Dilemma.”
In 2003, he launched his energy drink “Pimp Juice,” and in 2004 became a minority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, which were renamed Charlotte Hornets in 2013.
