Latto Recruits Flavor Flav To Host ’70s Pimp-Themed Birthday Party
Latto is set to celebrate her 25th birthday later this month with help from Hip Hop legend Flavor Flav, who has been enlisted as the party’s brand ambassador.
On Sunday (December 10), the Atlanta rapper shared a social media promo for the upcoming celebration, which she is calling “Hoes Up Pimps Down.” The video features a voiceover from the Public Enemy star, who explains that the role-reversal of the 1970s-themed party centeres on the era’s pimp aesthetics, before revealing that he will be hosting the event.
“Yo, check this out,” he begins. “Pimpin’ got harder ’cause the hoes got smarter, so the hoes are up, baby, pimps are down. So boss up or get bossed around.
“Everybody grab your mink coats and gather around ’cause on December 22, playas ball is takin’ over town. Hosted by your boy — me. Yours truly, Flavor Flav. Ha ha I hit the Lotto.”
Flavor Flav has been all over the place of late, with some even criticizing him for it. Though he rarely defends his actions, the 64-year-old recently offered an explanation for a decision that fans have been trolling him for online.

Despite his deep track record of unusual antics, he subsequently revealed that the performance came from a place of sincerity and personal admiration for those who serve the country.
“It may seem odd for Flavor Flav, a member of Public Enemy to do the National Anthem. But I had family that served in the United States military and I wanted to honor them,” he wrote on Twitter the day after the broadcast.
He continued: “I had family that fought in World War 2. My dad was in the army. They fought for the land that we live on, and some of them didnt make it back. So when I was singing it, I was thinking about them and the advancements we have made in our community that I can perform the anthem [American flag emoji].”
