Lauren Goodger has opened up about giving birth, revealing she thought she was going to die during her seven-hour labour.
The former TOWIE star, 34, and her boyfriend Charles Drury, 24, welcomed their baby girl, who they named Larose, in July.
In a new interview with OK! magazine, Lauren spoke openly about her drug-free labour and “textbook” home birth.
Baby Larose arrived three days early at 8.21am on July 20 at the couple’s home in Essex, weighing in at a healthy 8lb 9oz
Lauren told the magazine: “I’m really proud of what I’ve done and I really feel like I’ve achieved something amazing and it was the perfect end result to a good pregnancy.”

Charles, who filmed Larose coming into the world, said: “I’ve watched it 20 times now and every time I cry without fail.”
Speaking about giving birth, Lauren said: “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in all my life.
“I had a natural home birth with no drugs and the midwife said she’d never seen someone give birth so textbook, the way I did.
“I had a bit of gas and air, which we ran out of and they had to go to hospital to get some more, but I was in my zone and I did it. From my first contraction to giving birth, it was seven hours.”

She added: “I went through hours and hours and the first time the midwife checked me I was 8cm dilated, so I worked as hard as I could and breathed through it. I
“I didn’t get a break because once contractions started they were every 30 seconds – I thought I was going to die!
“This pain was so bad that I couldn’t take it and I was exhausted, but when you get to the end bit and she’s actually coming out, it’s like you get this other energy. She actually came out when I was standing up.”
New mum Lauren described becoming parents as “the best thing that’s ever happened” to both of them.

She added: “It’s the best thing in the world. Real life starts when you have a child. There’s this beautiful person you have to look after now you’re a mum. It’s the making of you.”
Lauren and Charles announced their baby girl’s birth last month.
She shared the news on Instagram by sharing a photo of her Larose’s tiny hand, and writing: “Welcome to the world our baby girl have arrived…. Mummy and Daddy are so in love with you.”
Charles was one of the first to comment on the post, saying: “I’m so proud of you and love you both so much. I can’t believe our beautiful little princess is here.”

The couple had only been dating since October 2020 before they announced they were expecting a baby together in January.
Lauren had confirmed that Larose’s name was a tribute to both herself and her grandmother Rose.
She told OK! Online : “I decided to call her Larose because my great-nan was called Rose and I’m named Lauren Rose after her.
“So I decided to name my daughter after me. It feels so special to be able to name my baby that.
